ANNOUNCEMENTS
Today we lead the Worship Service at St. Catherine’s Nursing Home. Please join us at 2pm to show God’s love to the residents!
This Saturday is our Annual Church Planning and Visioning meeting. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting. We will meet in the Multi Purpose Room at 8am.
Did you make a New Years' resolution this year? Why not try to read the Bible each day? There are 2009 Bible Reading Guides available in the Parlor to help you.
Won't you please consider volunteering to help with our children?
Beginning today, we are required to have TWO adults present in EACH Sunday School class. As you can imagine, this is placing a large strain on our small pool of volunteers. If you have not already offered your help, why not offer it today? Also, the Children's Ministry is re organizing Junior Church and we
need additional volunteers in this area! Please talk with Pastor Judy if you can help in either of these areas.
There is an Angel Tree full of envelopes, set up in the Parlor. This year we would like to support a member of our own congregation who plans to travel to Kenya in July. Phyllis Kelly will be joining others in the Emmitsburg community for this 10 day missions' trip. We urge everyone to take an envelope from
the tree and prayerfully consider offering financial support for Phyllis. The cost of the trip is close to $4,000. per person. Place your donations in the offering plate.
The next book selection for The Christian Book Club is "Fireproof" by Eric Wilson. Get your copy now! Make sure you purchase the novel, not the discussion guide. The retail price of the book is $14.99. Our discussion meeting will be next Friday - more details to come.
Don't forget to prayerfully consider your part in our Building Project. Place your commitment cards in the box located in the Parlor by January 18th.
