The Freedom Trail As a tribute to The Reverend. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. there will be a special forum, held at the Daughters of Charity, St. Joseph Provincial House (come to the
Provincial House Lobby) in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
This will be a time of listening to the stories of Emmitsburg's African American Heritage, as slaves and free blacks made their way to Freedom on The Freedom Trail. Some stories are tragic, others are heroic as the African Americans who lived here, worked here or passed this way were
on the road to Freedom.
This event was put together by the "Friends of Dr. King." Children and teens are encouraged to attend with an adult.
